Why do we start our skincare routine early?
As a skincare professional, I've noticed that many women start their skincare routine early. How early? Well, it's all about what we do to keep our skin healthy for years to come. As a woman and man age collagen production decreases by 30% at around age 35.
LOSES COLLAGEN PRODUCTION FROM AGE 30 ONWARDS
As you get older, your skin loses its ability to produce collagen. Collagen is the major structural protein in the body responsible for the strength and elasticity of all connective tissue--including the skin. In fact, it's what gives your skin its youthful appearance.
When we're young, our bodies produce plenty of collagen to keep up with the daily wear and tear on our faces (and bodies). But once we reach age 30 or so, production slows down significantly: According to research published in Annals Of Internal Medicine, women lose 1% per year after 30; men lose 1% every two years after 40
LIVE LONGER
You might think younger people have more time to develop skin problems, but this is not true. As we get older and our bodies start to age, our skin begins to show signs of ageing at an accelerated rate. This means that if you want to keep your skin looking young and healthy as long as possible, you should start a skincare routine from an early age.
SKIN HAS TO PROTECT US FROM THE ENVIRONMENT
We start our skincare routine early because our skin has to protect us, and we have to protect our skin. UV radiation (the type of light emitted by the sun) can cause wrinkles and age spots on the skin and accelerate the development of skin cancer. The best way to protect yourself from UV damage is by using sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher daily, wearing protective clothing when you're outside and avoiding sunburns whenever possible.
POLLUTION
It's important to start your skincare routine early because pollution is a serious threat to your skin. Pollution attacks the barrier function of the skin. It also increases redness, acne, dullness, sensitivity and dehydration.
If you're not using a moisturizer now, it's time to start! And if you already have one but don't use it often enough, try increasing how often you apply it twice a day until your skin feels comfortable with this new routine.
NEED TO PREVENT TO DEVELOP OF THE SIGN OF AGING
As we live longer, our skin must protect us from UV damage, pollution and other environmental factors. It also needs to replenish our skin with vitamins and antioxidants to keep the moisture level high and collagen production active.
As a result of these processes, wrinkles appear on our faces that can be prevented by regular skincare products such as moisturizers or lotions containing hyaluronic acid (HA), antioxidants and vitamins.
IMPROVE SKIN BARRIER PROTECTION, MOISTURE LEVEL AND COLLAGEN PRODUCTION
Our skin barrier is an important part of our body, as it provides protection from the environment and helps maintain moisture levels.
When we are young, our skin has good protection against the elements. As we get older, this barrier becomes less effective at protecting us from harsh weather conditions or even just daily activities that cause damage to the surface of our skin (like washing our face).
By starting your skincare routine early on in life, you can help improve your skin's ability to retain moisture by replenishing lost vitamins and minerals through moisturizers or serums containing hyaluronic acid.
NATURAL INGREDIENTS, SUCH AS COLD PRESSED PLANTS EXTRACTS
Start your skincare routine with products containing natural ingredients rather than chemicals and preservatives often found in mass-produced products.
Cold-pressed plant oils and extracts are used in our products instead of silicons or sulfates. Our formulas also contain no parabens, phthalates or dyes, so there's nothing else left behind to irritate sensitive skin types!
What are some other benefits of using natural skincare products? Besides the fact that they'll help keep your complexion looking clear and healthy - they're also free from mineral oil (used as a base ingredient for most conventional moisturizers). By using natural ingredients, we avoid contaminating our planet with synthetic products.
In conclusion, starting your skincare routine early is a great idea. There are many reasons to do so, including being good for your skin and helping prevent the signs of ageing. However, we understand that not everyone will be able to start right away due to financial constraints or other factors like busy schedules - but whatever the reason may be for not starting now doesn't mean you shouldn't plan on doing so in the future!
